The Compton and Edrich Stands at Lord’s Cricket Ground

The £50 million pound scheme saw new stands opened in 2021, designed by architects Wilkinson Eyre. We were asked for ideas for the 35m curved walls at the back of each restaurant. For Comptons we designed a mural ‘Bodylines’ made up of our line drawings of cricketers in action positions. For the Edrich restaurant, more formal with nine raised tables, we designed artwork clusters with works from the MCC collection. These were hung in the wall niches above each table, each dedicated to a different theme.
